What’s the Difference Between Tax Credits & Rebates?<\/h2>\r\n

When it comes to financial incentives, there are different ways to save. The Inflation Reduction Act was signed into law in 2022, and the U.S. received the largest investment in climate change and cleaner energy.<\/p>\r\n

Since 2023<\/a>, the tax credits offered under this law reduce the income taxes you owe and are typically either 30% of the investment or a set dollar amount. Rebates, on the other hand, offer either an upfront discount or cash back after your purchase.<\/p>\r\n

What Federal Programs Are There for Home Energy Rebates?<\/h2>\r\n

There are currently two programs that offer home energy rebates at the point of sale. These rebate programs are funded by grants given to state energy offices so they can offer incentives to homeowners upgrading their HVAC systems.<\/p>\r\n
